All Natural Makeup Brush Cleaner

Alright ladies, I have a confession to make. I haven’t cleaned my makeup brushes in months…in fact one of them I bought six months ago and just cleaned it today for the first time. I know it’s gross but I’m a changed woman now! I promise, I will clean my brushes regularly from now on now that I have found a safe and effective way to go about it. Makeup brushes should be cleaned every 2 to 4 weeks. Not only will cleaning them enhance the life of your brushes but it will prevent bacteria from building on your brush and then going on your skin. Let’s face it, we have enough bacteria going around our face so why would you want to rub more bacteria all over your face from your dirty brush? I found this on http://organizingmadefun.blogspot.com .

I used the almond oil castile soap but they have all kinds of different scents you could choose from as well as an unscented soap. They had tea tree which would make sense to use for your brushes since it touches your skin but I love the way almond fragrance smells! You can get this soap really anywhere. REI, Albertson’s, Whole Foods, Nature’s Grocer, etc. etc. Just in case you aren’t familiar with Dr. Bronner’s Magic soap it’s an 18-1 pure castile soap. You can use it for sooo many different things ranging from body wash, fruit and vegetable wash, to a safe and natural household cleaner.
